Ola KARAKRA

Ola Karakra is a seasoned professional with over 18 years of experience in crisis response and recovery, specializing in sustainable development in conflict-affected settings. Currently, they lead Crisis SOPs, Readiness, Response, and Recovery Mechanisms at UNDP’s Crisis Bureau, where they focus on institutionalizing crisis response systems. Ola has previously managed multi-million dollar livelihoods programs for UNDP in Iraq and served as Programme Manager for Women's Economic Empowerment at UN Women in Afghanistan. They hold an MBA and a Bachelor's in Architectural Engineering from Birzeit University, as well as certifications in Project Management and Women’s Leadership.
