Salma Soliman

Political Coordinator

Salma Soliman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in political coordination and project management focused on gender equality. Currently serving as a Political Coordinator for UNDP since April 2020, Salma has previously held significant roles such as Global Project Manager for Gender Equality Policy Piloting at SOS Children's Villages International and DDR and Gender Advisor at UNDP. Salma's earlier positions at UNDP include National Coordinator for Rio + 20 and the post-2015 Agenda, as well as Programme Officer addressing Sexual and Gender-Based Violence. Additional experience includes serving as Associate for Election Observation at The Carter Center and Project Officer for Good Governance at GESCRS. Salma holds a Master of Science in Gender and Governance from Ahfad University for Women and has degrees in Family and Society Science from Sudan University of Science and Technology.
