Theodore Murphy is a seasoned Policy and Communications Specialist currently working with UN Women since June 2022 and has been with UNDP since October 2007. At UNDP, Theodore has played a pivotal role in leading a team of communications professionals and developing the UNDP Arab States Engagement Strategy. Previous positions held include Policy Specialist and Research Specialist, where Theodore contributed to significant projects related to the Arab Spring, resilience definitions, and led research initiatives on critical regional issues. Prior to UNDP, experience includes freelance journalism covering culture and politics in Italy and working as an Account Executive at Doremus, where communications strategies were developed for technology firms. Theodore holds a Master's degree in Economics and International Relations from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and has studied at Pontificia Universidade Catolica in Rio de Janeiro.
