Dr. Jordi Ripoll is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, and Statistics at the University of Girona, where they participate in the research project "Stochastic and Deterministic Models. Applications in Biosciences" and the consolidated research group 2021 SGR 00113. They earned a Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Barcelona in 2005. Jordi's research focuses on population dynamics applied to ecology and epidemiology, and they have contributed to various topics including structured population dynamics and epidemic models. They have held previous positions as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Trento and as a visiting professor at Cornell University.
