Sameer Pise

Sameer Pise is a highly experienced professional with a robust background in auditing, project management, and business transformation, primarily at UNESCO since February 1999. Currently serving as Principal Auditor, Sameer leads audit and advisory engagements aligned with IIA, ISACA, and ISO standards while managing risk-based audit planning and supporting the Audit Oversight Committee. Previous roles include Business Change Manager, Project Manager for the Redesign Core Systems Program, Budget Analyst, and SAP Budget Domain Leader, demonstrating expertise in team leadership, strategic planning, and process optimization. Sameer’s notable accomplishments encompass the establishment of an IT transformation results framework, successful implementation of an accountability framework, and the oversight of budgeting processes and organizational change initiatives. Prior to UNESCO, Sameer gained experience as a Senior Consultant at Opensoft Technologies and as Technical Director at Absolute Control Information Systems Pvt Ltd, alongside serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Oregon State University. Sameer holds an MBA from Oregon State University and a BE in Mechanical Engineering.
