Simon Valle is a conservation ecologist and population biologist currently serving as a Conservation Planning Officer at the IUCN SSC Conservation Planning Specialist Group. With a background that includes an Honorary Lectureship and a Lectureship in Conservation Science at Bangor University, Simon specializes in using population modeling for the conservation of threatened species and has a keen interest in ornithology. Simon's extensive field research experience spans the Afrotropics and the Mediterranean, and they have contributed to various conservation projects, including monitoring of endangered bird populations in Kenya and the Gola Rainforest National Park. Simon holds a Ph.D. in Conservation Biology from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
