Susan Perry

Co-Chair In Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights

Susan Perry is a distinguished academic and expert in human rights, currently serving as a Professor at The American University of Paris since September 1988. In addition to this role, Susan holds the position of Co-Chair in Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights at UNESCO and has been an Appointed Expert with the Commission Nationale Consultive des Droits de l'Homme since January 2022, where Susan also serves as Vice President of the National Commission on International Humanitarian Law and Humanitarian Action. Susan's extensive educational background includes a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Human Rights Law from Oxford University, a Master of Arts in East Asian Studies from Yale University, a PhD in Chinese Studies from Ecole des hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, and a Bachelor of Arts in Semiotics from Brown University.
