Abdulraheem al-Ameri

AbdulRaheem Al-Ameri has extensive experience in protection and humanitarian assistance, particularly in the context of refugee support and protection. Most recently, from September 2021 to July 2023, AbdulRaheem served as an Associate Protection Officer at UNHCR, overseeing individual protection cases and addressing issues related to gender-based violence and child protection. Previously, as the Protection Working Group Coordinator, AbdulRaheem coordinated responses to protection incidents and managed assessments of internally displaced persons. Prior experience includes roles at YWU as a Protection and Monitoring Officer, where AbdulRaheem supervised field teams and case management, and at GIZ as a Skills Trainer focusing on women's empowerment through financial education. AbdulRaheem holds a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Ibb University, obtained in 2015.
