Peter Husen

Software Developer at Unicontrol

Peter Husen has worked in a variety of roles since 1997. Starting as an IT Assistant at Odense Bys Museer, they then moved to University of Southern Denmark as a Teaching Assistant in 2005. In 2008, they took on the role of PhD Fellow at MEMPHYS Center, University of Southern Denmark, where they developed software and methods for image analysis of 3D confocal microscopy image data of spherical membranes. In 2011, they became a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Southern Denmark, where they developed software to extract quantitative data of lipid contents from mass spectrometry. In 2012, they joined EmaZys Technologies as a Software Developer, where they worked on software for controlling and analyzing measurements on the prototype instrument developed at the company. In 2015, they became an Assistant Professor, Data Scientist, and Software Developer at Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, where they were part of the team developing the VIKING software platform. Finally, in 2022, they began working as a Software Developer at Unicontrol.

Peter Husen received their Studentereksamen from Odense Katedralskole in 2002, after studying Matematisk linje from 1999 to 2002. Peter then went on to pursue an M.Sc. in Physics and Computer Science from Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark from 2002 to 2008. Finally, they completed their PhD in Biophysics from University of Southern Denmark in 2011.
