Unicorns & Polka Dots is a nonprofit that helps those struggling with substance use disorder (SUD) identify and implement the self-directed life skills required to thrive and live a purposeful and productive life.

While society treats substance use disorder as a moral issue, the reality is that it is a mental illness. SUD affects a person’s brain and behavior, leading to their inability to control their use of legal or illegal drugs, alcohol or medications. With substance abuse rates rising at a staggering pace, now is the time to act.

Together We Can Save Lives
We know firsthand that individuals and their families struggling with SUD need help to navigate the fragmented recovery process. That’s why Unicorns & Polka Dots is working to establish The Recovery College. This program will provide ongoing support and access to essential life-skills development, education and mental health resources for those in recovery.

Empowering Individuals in Recovery
The Recovery College picks up where rehab ends, leading and empowering individuals through the next crucial phase of recovery by connecting them with resources to help them assimilate and manage everyday life.
