Smail A.

Smail A. is an experienced leader in environmental and industrial management, currently serving as the Director of the Division of Circular Economy & Green Industry at UNIDO since November 2007. In this role, Smail A. oversees programs focused on circular economy and green industry initiatives. Previous positions at UNIDO include Chief of various divisions addressing responsible materials management, industrial pollution mitigation, and emerging compliance regimes. Prior to UNIDO, Smail A. was the Director General at the Centre Marocain de Production Propre (CMPP) and held several roles at Cnesten, including Deputy Head of the Department of Safety and Environment and Nuclear Safety Engineer. Education includes an International Fellowship in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Penn State University, an Engineer's degree in Nuclear Safety Engineering from INSTN, and a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Mohammadia School of Engineers.
