Union Commodities (known as Unicom) was established in 1985 and is one of Sri Lanka’s largest tea exporters. It is now a household name for tea brands - Simondou, Shaheena and Richmond. 

Unicom’s core philosophy has been rooted in the quality production of pure Ceylon Tea; and is synonymous with exporting the finest black tea, green tea, tea infusions and value-added teas, globally. Simondou Tea
Crafted by master tea blenders of the industry, Simondou began with the pursuit of the inimitable flavour of Ceylon Tea. Launched in 2012 with the aim of promoting a 100% pure Ceylon Tea brand to the world, Simondou black tea is Rainforest Alliance, UTZ and Ozone friendly pure Ceylon tea certified.
