Luz Carty

Luz S. Carty is an experienced professional in the field of senior services, currently serving as the Director of Senior Services at Union Settlement since February 2020. Previously, Luz held the position of Program Officer at the NYC Department for the Aging, overseeing a caseload of 15 senior centers and ensuring compliance with program standards. Prior experience includes serving as the Assistant Deputy Director at Union Settlement Association, where management of a senior center in East Harlem involved planning programs and supervising staff. Luz's career began with roles at Jewish Home Lifecare and Jewish Home & Hospital, complemented by a Master's degree in Social Work focusing on Organizational Managerial Leadership from Hunter College and a Bachelor's in Marketing and Management from the University at Albany.
