Robin Sparkman

Robin Sparkman is a board member at Union Settlement and the former CEO of StoryCorps. Robin was with the company from January 2014 to September 2021. Under their leadership, the company grew from $8.5 million to $20 million in revenue and increased its staff from 12 to 85 employees. Sparkman was also responsible for the creation of the StoryCorps app, which has been downloaded more than 1 million times, and the partnership with Google Cloud to transcribe StoryCorps' archive.

Robin Sparkman's educational career includes a Master of Science in online journalism from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, a Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management certificate from Harvard Business School, and a diploma with honors in Theirtory and English from Choate Rosemary Hall. Robin also holds a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in Political Science/English from Wellesley College.
