Shawn Smith is a seasoned music and arts professional with extensive experience in leadership and community engagement. Currently serving as the Director of the East Harlem Community Partnership at Union Settlement, Shawn oversees strategic planning and manages a volunteer coalition while ensuring effective budget oversight. With a long-standing career as a Performing Artist with SAG-AFTRA and a Music Producer, Shawn has built a notable portfolio working with prominent artists such as Patti Labelle and Kelly Price. Previous roles include Youth Director at The Boys' Club of New York and Expressive Arts Music & Technology Instructor at The Renaissance Charter High School for Innovation. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Music Technology, Education, and Black Studies from The City College of New York and an Associate of Arts degree from Borough of Manhattan Community College.
