Yael Melamede

Yael Melamede is the co-founder of SALTY Features, an independent production company established over two decades ago to focus on impactful storytelling. As a producer and director, Yael's work includes award-winning documentaries and fiction films addressing social issues and human experiences, with notable credits like the Emmy-nominated *FLOYD ABRAMS: SPEAKING FREELY* and the recent film *PAY OR DIE*. Trained as an architect, Yael applies a design thinking approach to storytelling and currently serves on the boards of UnionDocs and the Living City Project. Yael is also a member of the DPA and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Yael is pursuing a Master of Architecture at Yale University, having also earned a Bachelor's degree from the same institution.
