Alan Fox

Alan Fox serves as the National Pensions Officer at UNISON since June 2007, where responsibilities include overseeing pension matters for 1.6 million members, developing policies, and conducting pension-related training sessions. Alan advocates for UNISON members on several advisory boards related to the NHS Pension Scheme and engages with both government and private sector employers to negotiate favorable pension terms. Prior experience includes working as an Assistant Technical Specialist at The Pensions Advisory Service, managing a caseload and providing public pension advice, and serving as a Temporary Policy Officer at the Department for Work and Pensions, where Alan contributed to legislative drafting and addressed employer inquiries. Alan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of the West of England, with prior education at Paston 6th Form College and Windsor School in Germany.
