Robert Birch

Robert Birch is an experienced professional with a diverse background in law enforcement, local government, and business management. Currently serving as the Branch Secretary for Unison since February 2014, Birch represents Police Staff and holds national roles with various policing boards. Additionally, Birch has served as the Branch Chairman for Staffordshire LGPS since October 2019 and previously held multiple positions at Burntwood Town Council, including Chairperson and Councillor. Birch's extensive law enforcement experience includes roles such as Forensic Investigator and Crime Scene Manager at Staffordshire Police. Birch also owned a laundry service business and worked in social services and nursing. Birch holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology/Earth Science from Durham University and The Open University.
