Alec Cameron

Non Executive Director

Professor Alec Cameron is the Vice-Chancellor and President of RMIT University, a position they commenced in January 2022. A Rhodes Scholar, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Robotics from Oxford and hold bachelor's degrees in Science and Electrical Engineering with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney. Prior to RMIT, Alec served as Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive at Aston University and has held various executive roles in education and technology, including Deputy Vice-Chancellor positions at two prominent Australian universities. They currently serve as a Non-Executive Director for AARNET, contributing to Australia’s national research and education network.
