Elspeth Cottrell has a diverse range of work experience in the field of information technology.

Elspeth is currently employed at UniSuper as an Automation Lead, where they began in April 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a Microsoft 365 Technical Lead from August 2021 to August 2023.

From 2018 to 2021, Elspeth held the position of Productivity Lead at Newcrest Mining. Elspeth was responsible for improving productivity within the organization.

Before that, they worked at EnergyAustralia from 2014 to 2018 as a Collaboration Analyst - O365. Elspeth'smain focus was on managing collaboration tools within the company.

Prior to their role at Subsea 7, Elspeth worked at Pragma Systems Ltd as an Application Analyst, where they assisted with the migration of applications for Subsea 7. Elspeth also worked at Logica as an Application Analyst/Programmer, participating in the Application Services Partner (ASP) project.

Elspeth's earliest work experience was at Shell, where they worked as an Analyst/Programmer. Elspeth'sresponsibilities included designing and maintaining a MS Access database for user hardware and software details during the Global Infrastructure Desktop (GID) implementation project.

Elspeth Cottrell obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours degree in Physical Geography from the University of Aberdeen, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Elspeth then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Systems from Robert Gordon University from 1998 to 1999.

In addition to their academic degrees, Elspeth Cottrell has obtained several certifications from Microsoft. In February 2022, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals certification. In October 2022, they earned the Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker Associate certification. Most recently, in November 2022, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate certification.
