Manager, Fund Administration & Growth Applications at UniSuper

Gavin C. has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the technology and service delivery fields. Gavin is currently the Manager of Fund Administration & Growth Applications at UniSuper, where they lead a team of 50 software professionals. In this role, Gavin is responsible for overseeing the delivery and operation of UniSuper's Fund Administration and Growth Application portfolio, including registry, contribution management, workflow, CRM, contact center, and marketing. Gavin is also leading the core technology team in implementing a scale and simplification strategy, driving organic and inorganic growth through mergers, consolidating applications, simplifying and automating processes, and improving the member experience while keeping costs low.

Prior to joining UniSuper, Gavin held positions at Telstra, where they served as a Service Delivery Manager from 2014 to 2019 and an IT Application Portfolio Manager from 2012 to 2014. Gavin also worked at the Department of Transport and Main Roads as a Service Delivery Manager from 2008 to 2011 and a Major Incident Manager from 2007 to 2008. In addition, Gavin gained experience at Optus Business Managed Services as an Incident Manager to Queensland Health from 2006 to 2007 and a Team Leader in Critical Incident Management from 2003 to 2006. Gavin started their career as a Desktop Support Officer at Ergon Energy in 2002. Overall, Gavin has demonstrated their expertise in managing service delivery, incident management, and application portfolios throughout their career.

Gavin C. pursued their education in a chronological manner. In 2002, they attended the Central Queensland Institute of TAFE, where they obtained a Certificate III in Information Technology, specializing in Information Technology.

Later, in 2009, Gavin enrolled at Flinders University, where they pursued a Post Graduate degree in Public Sector Management. Gavin completed their studies in 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Gavin has also obtained various certifications to enhance their skill set. In 2003, they became a Microsoft Certified Professional. Gavin further expanded their knowledge by obtaining the ITIL Foundation Certificate (V2) from EXIN in 2005. Continuing their professional development, they achieved the ITIL Foundation Bridging Certificate (V3) from EXIN in 2007. Gavin then obtained the ITIL Foundation Certificate (V3) from EXIN in 2008. Gavin also holds the Certified Process Professional certification from the BP Group, which they earned in November 2008. Gavin'smost recent certification, ITIL Intermediate (Continual Service Improvement), was obtained from PeopleCert in October 2017.
