Jesse Pene

Jesse Pene has a diverse work experience in the finance and taxation industry. Jesse is currently working at UniSuper as an Investment Tax Manager since July 2023. Prior to that, they worked at PwC Australia as a Senior Manager from June 2021 to July 2023.

Before joining PwC, Jesse worked at EY in various roles including Manager from October 2019 to May 2021, Senior Consultant from October 2015 to May 2021, and Senior Consultant from July 2017 to 2019. Jesse also worked at EY as a Tax Consultant (Transaction Tax) from March 2015 to October 2015.

Additionally, Jesse has experience working at Deloitte New Zealand as a Tax Consultant from February 2013 to February 2015, and from November 2011 to February 2012. Jesse also served as a Mentor at The University of Auckland from January 2009 to December 2011.

Jesse Pene attended The University of Auckland from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with a focus on Commercial Law. They also earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) with a specialization in Accounting during the same period. In December 2013, Jesse Pene was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand by the New Zealand Law Society. Additionally, in March 2016, they obtained the Chartered Accountant certification from the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand institution.
