Julia Maciver has had extensive work experience in various roles and industries.
Julia began their career as a Chemistry teacher at Upper Hutt College in 2008 and held this role until 2011.
In 2011, they joined Essential Resources Educational Publishers as an author.
From 2012 onwards, Julia worked at UniSuper, where they held several positions. Julia started as a Technical Writer in August 2012 and transitioned to the role of Business Analyst in August 2013. In August 2014, they became a Process Improvement Consultant and then moved on to the role of Product Coordinator in April 2015. Julia further progressed to the position of Assistant Product Manager in August 2016 and eventually became a Product Manager in May 2020.
Throughout their career, Julia Maciver has demonstrated a diverse range of skills and expertise, including product management, project coordination, process improvement, business analysis, technical writing, teaching, and authoring.
Julia Maciver has a well-rounded education history. Julia began their academic journey at Southland Girls' High School, where they completed their secondary education from 1998 to 2002. Following that, they enrolled at the University of Otago from 2003 to 2006, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with a focus on Chemistry and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, specializing in English Language and Literature. Eventually, they decided to pursue their passion for teaching and went on to Victoria University of Wellington in 2007, where they completed a Postgraduate Diploma of Teaching (Secondary).
