Stephen Halmarick

Stephen Halmarick is a Principal and Chief Economist at Economics Unchained, where they also serve as an Investment Committee Member and are involved with InEconomics. With 39 years of experience in the economics field, they held pivotal roles such as Chief Economist and Head of Global Economic & Markets Research at Commonwealth Bank from 2020 to 2025. Stephen has previously served as Chief Economist at Colonial First State Global Asset Management and co-headed Economic & Market Analysis at Citigroup Australia. They are also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and have a degree in Economics from Macquarie University.
