Matthew Black is an experienced Programme Manager at Unitaid since May 2021, overseeing grant portfolios aimed at enhancing global health solutions in low and middle-income countries. Previously, Matthew served as Acting Director of the Global Fund Project Management Unit at the Ministry of Health and Social Services in Namibia, managing HIV, TB, and Malaria grants. Additional roles include Chief Health Programmes Officer for Resource Mobilisation at the same Ministry, Technical Advisor for HIV/AIDS at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and earlier positions in various NGOs focusing on HIV/AIDS interventions and monitoring in Kenya. Matthew holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Economics from the University of South Wales and a Master’s in International Development from Middlesex University.
