United Communities supports schools to be great neighbours.

We work alongside schools and local communities across England to strengthen community life and create the conditions for meaningful locally led change.

We believe every community is rich with assets — skills, talents, relationships, stories and infrastructure. Our work is rooted in asset-based and relational approaches to community development, supporting communities to shape change rather than having change done to them.

United Communities supports a growing network of school-linked community hubs, helping schools become part of stronger, more connected local ecosystems where children, families and neighbours can connect, contribute and lead.

Rather than delivering fixed programmes into communities, we focus on strengthening the relationships, infrastructure and conditions that enable local ideas, opportunities and community leadership to grow and endure.

We do this by:

* Supporting youth and community-led hubs
* Stewarding a national network of community practitioners
* Developing learning, peer support and strategic accompaniment
* Backing local ideas through the Ignite Communities Fund — a microgrant programme for youth and community-led action

United Communities is an independent charity within the United Learning group of charities.
