Oliver Charkham

Oliver Charkham is an experienced Geography and History teacher currently working at United Learning since September 2016 and serving as a Staff Governor at The Hurlingham Academy. Responsibilities include designing and presenting lessons for various year groups, organizing enrichment activities for students and staff, and tracking progress across multiple classes. Prior to this, Oliver completed the Teachfirst Secondary School Training program in July 2018, served as a Summer Intern at BP, and worked with the UK Government's Stabilisation Unit on deployment projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. Oliver has also contributed to the Department for International Development and founded the GLZ Charitable Fund to support a slum community in Zambia. Oliver holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in African Studies with Development from the University of Birmingham.
