Sam Rhodes serves as the Head of Financial Accounts at United Learning since May 2018, overseeing central office and entity-level accounting, reporting, and cash management for the Academy and Independent Schools entities. Prior experience includes a tenure at Thomas Cook from January 2013 to May 2018 as Head of Financial Reporting, responsible for statutory and regulatory financial reporting for the UK segment, as well as serving as Cash and Working Capital Controller, focusing on liquidity forecasting and cash management. Before that, Sam Rhodes worked at Phoenix Group from September 1999 to January 2013 in various roles, including Financial Reporting Manager for Solvency II, where responsibilities included understanding regulatory capital resource requirements and producing regulatory reports, and as Corporate Reporting and Treasury Manager, managing cash and financial results for corporate entities. Academically, Sam Rhodes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with Accountancy from Loughborough University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
