Donald McDaniel

Donald McDaniel has extensive experience in the utility engineering sector, beginning with an engineering role at the City of Lamar Utilities Board from December 1983 to March 1987, where responsibilities included implementing a GIS system and managing a small team. McDaniel then served as Superintendent, overseeing the utility's operations and gas contracts. At United Power, Inc., from 2001 to 2006, McDaniel contributed to substation construction and developed utility construction standards. Further career advancements included positions as Chief System Engineer at Kerrville Public Utility Board and Project Manager at Miner and Miner from 1992 to 2001. McDaniel returned to United Power, where from 2006 to 2023, leadership included managing engineers and developing capital budgets. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Power) from Colorado State University, completed in 1983.
