Jonathan Aust currently serves as the VP of Energy Resource Planning at United Power, Inc., a position held since March 2025. Prior to this role, Jonathan held several leadership positions within the Western Area Power Administration from July 2015 to March 2025, including VP of Power Operations for the CRSP, DSW, and RMR, where Jonathan managed a team of over 70 professionals to ensure the reliable operation of balancing authorities across multiple states. Jonathan also served as VP of IT for SCADA/EMS, overseeing IT support for operational technology at four control centers managing an extensive electric transmission system. Earlier roles at WAPA included Reliability and Balancing Manager and EMS Manager, as well as experience as an EMS Engineer. Jonathan’s career began at McKesson as a Remote System Operations Analyst, providing technical support across North America. Jonathan earned an Associate of Science degree in Computer Science from Heald College between 1998 and 2000.
