Sara Sankowich

Sara Sankowich is the Vice President of Shared Services and Sustainability at Unitil, where they have developed and overseen a comprehensive vegetation management program. With a background in various leadership roles, including President of the Utility Arborist Association and the New England Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture, they contributed significantly to industry best practices. Previously, Sara held multiple positions at Unitil, including System Arborist and Manager of Forestry Operations & Sustainability. They began their career at NIPSCO as an ECI Consultant and have also worked in vegetation management at National Grid and Orange & Rockland. Sara earned a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the State University of New York College of Environmental Sciences and Forestry.
