Travis Vollmer

Travis Vollmer has extensive experience in power electronics and electrical engineering, currently serving as Engineering Lead at Unitron since February 2020, focusing on power electronics systems for industrial applications. Prior to this, Travis worked as a consultant from September 2019 to February 2020, and held various roles at TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company from October 2012 to September 2019, including Engineering Manager for Power Electronics & Field Service and Senior R&D Engineer, where work centered on the development of a modular Medium Voltage Drive product line. Academic experience includes a role as Graduate Research Assistant at Texas Tech University from August 2007 to October 2012, focusing on high voltage engineering and power electronics research, culminating in a PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2012, supported by a master's and bachelor's degree in the same field, along with mathematics and German. Early experience includes an engineering internship at Kimberly-Clark, where electrical engineering documentation and AutoCAD drawings were drafted.
