David McGhie

David Mcghie is a skilled technician with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Workshop/Offshore Technician at Unity since September 2023, David collaborates closely with technicians and engineers to inspect, build, maintain, and pressure test customer-owned surface wellheads, alongside developing Unity-designed equipment. Prior to this role, David worked as a Mechanical Technician at Zilift Limited, where responsibilities included manufacturing downhole electrical submersible pumps, and held positions at Baker Hughes and EnerMech focusing on mechanical fitting and rigging. Additional experience includes a significant role at Halliburton involving equipment logistics and a background in leisure services with Aberdeenshire Council. David's educational qualifications encompass a welding and fabrication degree and a Higher National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering from North East Scotland College.
