Cherie Herbert

Cherie Herbert currently serves as the Director of Finance at Unity Care since December 2023, contributing to a nonprofit focused on supporting youth in foster care. Previously, Cherie was the Controller at Second Start Learning Disabilities Programs, Inc., overseeing financial operations from January 2018 to December 2023, and held multiple leadership roles at the San José State University Research Foundation, including Director of Finance and Controller, from November 2012 to August 2017. Cherie's career also includes financial management at Palo Alto University and the University of New Mexico. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Accounting and Financial Management with CPA emphasis from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University and a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University, concentrating on Marketing.
