Tom Seago has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Tom is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Unity Central, where they lead the technology aspects of a new product division. In this role, they are responsible for evaluating new potential business structures and updating engineering and product development practices.
Prior to their current position, Tom was the Chief Executive Officer at Kilowatt Commons for a brief period in 2021. Tom also held the role of Chief Information Officer at RenegadeBio from 2020 to 2021, where they directed all IT and software development activities for the BioTech startup, focusing on creating a cloud-based HIPAA compliant medical record and integration platform.
Tom has also founded and led their own companies. Tom founded Eyethereal in 2013, where they developed design-driven consumer and enterprise facing products. Tom also provided boutique consulting services to a select group of clients. Before that, Tom co-founded Rumple Inc in 2018, where they developed a cryptocurrency and precious metals trading platform.
Tom's earlier career includes roles at Green Dot Corporation as the VP of Engineering and Chief Architect, Loopt as the Director of Engineering, frog design as a Technical Architect, SipCall.com as the CTO, and Rocket Mobile as the Director of Client Engineering. In these positions, they demonstrated leadership skills, mentored teams, and oversaw the development of various products and platforms.
Tom Seago earned a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Cinema-Television from the University of Southern California, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, Tom has obtained certifications in "Getting started with Productboard" from Productboard Academy and "Organize all features ideas into our hierarchy Certification" from Productboard, both in April 2023.

We focus on the age-old challenge of asking a question and getting an answer, so you can make better decisions, faster. Organizations deal with a lot of data, and it comes in many forms. There is structured data like log files, spreadsheets, tables, and sql databases. This data was once the bulk of information that lived in a given company, and is why SQL, Excel, and others have historically been a necessity to manage and extract insights from an organizations 'data lake'. However, with the explosion of a new digital age, 85% of all enterprise information is now unstructured, and comes in the form of emails, documents, images, videos, social media and more. This unstructured data is stored in disconnected systems, where it rapidly diversifies and evolves, increases in volume, ultimately becoming harder to manage and understand every single day. With the new reality, 70% of businesses do not know how to handle this influx of information, and because of this, gaps in knowledge continue to grow, resulting in a situation where companies cannot organize, manage, or search the majority of their information. The people who rely on this data to make vital decisions do not think in rows, columns or raw text. They use knowledge, research, creativity, inspiration, drive and gut instinct.
