Chris Iven

Chris Iven is an experienced nonprofit and communications professional currently serving as the Chief Advancement Officer at Unity House of Cayuga County, Inc. since July 2022. Previously, Chris held the position of Director of Philanthropy at Elmcrest Children's Center, where fundraising efforts exceeded $1 million annually and saw significant growth in donor engagement and grant funding. Prior to that, Chris worked with the U.S. Census Bureau as a Media Specialist, developing partnerships to enhance community participation in the 2020 Census. Chris also has extensive experience in leadership roles within the YMCA of Greater Syracuse, overseeing multiple branches and achieving remarkable financial growth. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Administration in progress at Syracuse University, alongside a Master's in Newspaper Journalism and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Denison University.
