Barak Cohen has over 14 years of experience in software development, with a focus on engineering management and founding startups. In 2020, they became the Founder and CTO of Unity SCM, an early stage startup on a mission to support the growth of manufacturing companies by building the world’s first supply chain execution platform. From 2017 to 2020, they were a Senior Engineering Manager at WeWork, a platform for creators. From 2013 to 2017, they held various roles including VP R&D at Wondermall, a company disrupting e-commerce on tablets, and Freelance Consultant at Spot.IM, where they designed backend architecture and built APIs for mobile and web. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Consultant at NITEO Consulting Ltd and Co-Founder and CTO at Deliv, a stealthy same-day delivery service. From 2011 to 2012, they were Co-Founder and CTO at Marketplace Technologies Inc., a grocery price comparison mobile app and website. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Core Software and Algorithms Developer at Sears Israel (Delver). From 2008 to 2009, they were a Software and Algorithms Developer at MyOgger. Finally, from 2006 to 2008, they were a Software Developer at Velingo.
Barak Cohen completed a BSc in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Matriculation (Bagrut) in Computer Science & Electronics from Ruthberg from 1998 to 2001. Barak also holds three certifications: "Supply Chain Analytics In Python" from DataCamp obtained in June 2020, "Cloud Computing Concepts: Part 2" from Coursera obtained in April 2015, and "Cloud Computing Concepts" from Coursera obtained in March 2015.
