Alberto Lopez

Alberto Lopez serves as the Director of Global Business Development within Global Field Operations at Maxar Technologies since April 2019. In addition, Lopez contributes to the Government Advisory Board at Unity Technologies and is a member of the Advisory Board for United Smart Cities. Previous roles include serving as Global Business Development Director at DigitalGlobe, Inc. and holding various positions at Blom ASA, including Managing Director of Navigation & LBS. Lopez began a notable career as the Founder and CEO of Opera Wireless, which was acquired by Blom ASA. Additional experience includes leadership roles at Global Consulting Iberica, Genasys II, and the Spanish Embassy's Defence Office. Lopez holds degrees in Economics from both Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia and Stockholm University, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science from Instituto Politécnico del Ejército, and completed executive programs at MIT, Stanford, and IESE Business School.
