Dave Ruddell

Dave Ruddell is an experienced professional in the fields of augmented and virtual reality, software engineering, and technical strategy. Currently a Senior Manager in XR Authoring at Unity since November 2021, Dave oversees the development of authoring tools that enhance AR and VR application creation, including the XR Interaction Toolkit and XR Hands packages. Prior to Unity, Dave co-founded VRstudios, where as Consulting Chief Architect, responsibilities included presenting technical strategies to partners and potential customers. Other notable positions include Software Engineer at Pluto VR and Senior Software Engineer at F5 Networks, as well as co-founding Mind-Games Intermedia. Dave holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Washington and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Computer Science from Whatcom Community College.
