Jaakko Särelä

Jaakko Särelä is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data science and leadership roles across various companies. Currently serving as Manager at Unity Technologies since December 2020, Jaakko has previously held positions such as Principal Consultant and Senior Data Scientist at Reaktor, and Senior Researcher at The Curious AI Company. As the owner of JS Focus Oy and CEO of Lume Games Ltd, significant contributions were made in strategy, funding, and core game design. Additional experience includes mentorship at Aalto University, VP of Sales at Enevo Oy, and CEO of ZenRobotics Ltd, along with a strong background in social network analytics as Chief Scientist at Xtract. Jaakko holds a PhD and MSc in Machine Learning and Technical Physics from Aalto University, complemented by foundational education at Valkeakosken lukio.
