Jim Whitehurst is an accomplished executive with extensive leadership experience in various industries. Currently serving as Executive Chair and Chief Executive Officer at Unity since October 2023, Whitehurst also holds director positions at Qualtrics, CO2 AI, and Amplitude, and serves as Managing Director and Special Advisor at Silver Lake. Additional roles include serving as a Director at United Airlines since April 2020 and a Senior Advisor at IBM from April 2020 to May 2022. Whitehurst previously led Red Hat as President and CEO from January 2008 to April 2020 and held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Delta Air Lines from 2001 to 2007. His earlier career includes being a Partner at The Boston Consulting Group from 1989 to 2001. Whitehurst earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Computer Science and Economics from Rice University.
