Maize Longboat is a digital media educator, producer, and video game developer based in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, QC. They are currently the Manager of Partner Relations at Unity, after serving in various roles within the company since 2021. As the Associate Director of the Skins Workshops on Aboriginal Storytelling in Digital Media, Maize directs a research project by the Initiative for Indigenous Futures, focusing on training Indigenous youth to adapt their community stories into digital media and video games. Maize's debut game, Terra Nova, received the “Best Emerging Digital or Interactive Work” Award at the 2019 imagineNATIVE Film and Media Festival. They hold a BA in First Nations Studies and History from The University of British Columbia and a Master's in Communication and Media Studies from Concordia University.
