Sharlene Tan

Sharlene Tan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technical program management and localization within the tech industry. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Program Manager at Unity since October 2018, Sharlene leads localization efforts and manages the logistics of the Asian commUnity Employee Resource Group (ERG). Previous roles at Unity include Technical Program Manager and Senior Technical Writer, focusing on documentation localization processes. Prior experience includes a Technical Localization Specialist position at Nintendo, where Sharlene translated technical documentation, as well as freelance work in research, interpreting, and subtitling. Sharlene holds a BA Honors in Computer Sciences and Japanese Language & Culture from The University of Texas at Austin, along with a Master of Science in Hospitality Management from the University of Houston.
