In 2017, they joined SPINTEC and FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg as a Doctoral Researcher in Nanomagnetism/Electrochemistry, conducting joint PhD studies between the two labs. Michael worked on a project focusing on the dynamics of magnetic Bloch-point domain walls in cylindrical nanowires.
Since April 2022, Michael has been working at UnitySC as an Application Engineer, specializing in optical metrology and inspection solutions for the semiconductor manufacturing industry. Michael'smain responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, performing qualification and tool acceptances, providing on-site application support, and providing feedback to the R&D and engineering team.
Michael Schöbitz started their education at Munich International School e.V. from 2010 to 2012, earning a High School Diploma with an International Baccalaureate. Michael then pursued further studies and completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree at The University of Sheffield from 2013 to 2017. Later, from 2018 to 2021, they simultaneously studied at both Université Grenoble Alpes and FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, earning two Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees. Michael'sfield of study for the PhD at Université Grenoble Alpes was Nanophysics, while their PhD at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg focused on Electrochemistry.
