Peter Bouton

Peter Bouton currently serves as the Vice President of Engineering at Universal Audio, a position held since December 2024. Prior to this, Peter Bouton was the Vice President of Audio Engineering at Avid Technology from September 2010 to December 2024, leading a comprehensive team to produce award-winning audio software and hardware. Peter Bouton also held the title of Vice President of Engineering in the Professional Products Division at Sonic Solutions, overseeing a distributed team to deliver video streaming services and tools for the film industry. Earlier in their career, Peter Bouton was the President of Loop Software Consulting, Inc., providing software solutions across various sectors, and worked as a Senior Software Engineer at AllAdvantage.com and a Software Engineer at EA Research. Academically, Peter Bouton holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Mechanics and Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
