Val Poltorak

Val Poltorak currently holds the position of President at Universal Background Screening since November 2025. Prior to this role, Val served as Operating Partner at SNH Capital Partners for a brief period in late 2025. Val's extensive experience includes significant leadership roles at Sterling, where responsibilities ranged from overseeing the U.S. Regulated Industries Group to transforming the Healthcare Practice into the top revenue-generating division, contributing to the company's successful IPO. Val's earlier experience at Bloomberg as Global Head of Client Services/COO involved P&L accountability for the Enterprise Compliance business, while various leadership positions at RegEd and CT Corporation contributed to a solid foundation in product management and client services. Val holds an MBA in Finance from Rutgers Business School and a Bachelor of Science from Stony Brook University.
