Carlos Mercado, M.S., P.E. is a Principal Engineer at UES, specializing in geotechnical engineering, construction material testing, and environmental services. They previously owned Geo-Explor, Inc. from 1995 to 2018, where they provided a full range of geotechnical consulting and laboratory services since 1996. Before that, they served as Vice-President at Corporacion Geotec from 1991 to 2001. Carlos holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez and a Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
