Sam Palmer, P.E., CBO/CFM, has extensive experience in engineering and management roles within the construction and building sectors. Currently serving as the Las Vegas Branch Manager at UES since May 2023, Sam previously held the position of Deputy Executive Officer at the Nevada State Contractors Board from July 2022 to June 2023. Sam’s notable experience includes serving as the Assistant Director for the Department of Building & Fire Prevention Bureau in Clark County from October 2013 to July 2022, and Chief of Construction Management for the City of Las Vegas from June 1994 to June 1995. Prior roles also include Assistant Manager and Regional Manager at Kleinfelder, and Executive Vice President/Western Operating Group Manager at Terracon, overseeing multiple states and regions. Sam holds a BS in Geological Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno, and an Executive MBA from UNLV Lee Business School.
