Sol Fontanes

Sol Fontanes, P.E. has a extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Starting in 2022, they hold the position of VP, Business Transformation at Universal Engineering Sciences. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2022, they worked at Travel + Leisure Co., where they held roles such as Senior Director, Customer Strategy & Planning and Director, Customer Strategy and Integration. In these positions, they were responsible for driving customer strategies, developing marketing programs, and generating revenue. Before that, they worked at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products from 2008 to 2019, where they held various managerial roles including Sr. Manager, Sales Analytics & Insights and Manager, Industrial Engineering. Their responsibilities included providing analytical and planning support, as well as supporting the development and launch of new ships. Fontanes also gained experience at Walt Disney World, where they held roles as Sr. Industrial Engineer, Industrial Engineer, and Associate Industrial Engineer between 2000 and 2008.

Sol Fontanes, P.E. holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which was obtained from 1999 to 2000. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, where they studied from 1993 to 1998. Sol Fontanes is also a Professional Engineer, certified by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers in 2004.
