Mariana Ugarte

Mariana Ugarte has extensive experience in the field of food science and nutrition, serving as Coordinador de programa at Universidad Nacional de Lanús since July 1999, where the focus is on developing value-added food products to support regional SMEs. In addition, Mariana has directed research projects on functional foods and bioactive compounds since 2004, with numerous publications in national and international journals. As a docente investigador and Titular docente universitario, Mariana teaches courses including Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition, Biochemistry and Biophysics, and Microbiology. Since January 2013, Mariana has held the position of Director de Carrera for the Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology. Additionally, Mariana has provided external consulting for catering services and hospital food services since January 1999. Academic credentials include a Licenciatura en Nutrición from the University of Buenos Aires and a Master's degree in Food Technology from Universidad Tecnológica Nacional.
